Institute
Support and Publications Distribution
After
a few years of operation, the Symphony Orchestra Institute
invited the voluntary support of both symphony orchestra
organizations and individuals to further the Institute's
publishing, field, and website activities. The goal was
to bring about communications and action among all persons
who are interested, involved, and influential in orchestra
organizational matters.
Supporting
Organizations
Support of the Institute by symphony organizations
was voluntary. A suggested level of support, based on organization
size, was made available; however, each supporting organization
was free to make whatever contribution it believed was merited.
The link immediately above will take you to the 2003 list
of supporting symphony organizations and to their websites.
Advocates
of Change
Advocates of Change are individuals who stepped forward
to voice their support of the Institute and its work. Through
financial contributions to the Institute, Advocates of Change
symbolized their commitment to the Institute's efforts and
to positive symphony organizational change. AoC members
received personal copies of the Institute's publications
via first class mail and provided important moral and financial
support to the Institute.
The
link above will take you to a listing of the Advocates of
Change as of the end of 2003.
